An Ordinance to Amend Sections 1:152, 1:154, 1:156, 1:158, 1:159 and 1:160 of Chapter 7 (Downtown Development Authority) of Title I of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor
Memorandum
Your approval is requested to amend Chapter 7 of the Code of the City of Arbor. The amendments are necessary to align the code with the approved expanded boundaries of the established City of Ann Arbor Downtown District and the adopted Ann Arbor DDA Amended Development and TIF Plan 2026-2055.
The public hearing regarding adoption of the Ann Arbor Development TIF Plan 2026-2055 (“Amended Plan”), is occurring on February 2, 2026, which will be followed by a 60-day op out period for taxing jurisdictions affected. On April 20, 2026, City Council will vote on the adoption of the Amended Plan, and the second reading of the ordinance will occur. The Amended Plan seeks to expand the district as reflected in the map included in the ordinance amendment.
