Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the General Services Agreement with Utilities Instrumentation Service, Inc. for Utilities Instrumentation Services RFP No. 22-45 ($150,000.00 increase; total contract $900,000.00)
Memorandum
This memorandum and resolution requests approval of Amendment No. 1 to the General Services Agreement with Utilities Instrumentation Service, Inc. (UIS) for electrical and instrumentation support services at the Water Treatment Plant for an additional $150,000.00. Council approved a General Services Agreement for $750,000.00 with UIS in August of 2022 by Resolution R-22-245.

UIS provides electrical and instrumentation support to all system components maintained by the Water Treatment Services Unit. The City is seeking additional funding to cover unforeseen instrumentation support and maintenance needs that arose after the contract was in place, such as work related to the ozone electrical upgrades project and setting up network communication for a new water sensor and river flow monitoring device.

Based on the support services needed, it is recommended that City Council approve Amendment No.1 to the General Services Agreement with UIS, to provide additional electrical and instrumentation supports services for the remaining life of the Contract.

UIS complies with the City's Living Wage and Non-discrimination Ordinances.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funds for this amendment are available in the approved FY24 Water Supply System, Parks Maintenance and Capital Improvements, and General Fund Operating and Capital budgets. Services for future fiscal years will be funded from the appropriate operating and capital budgets if so, approved by Council.
