Election Inspector Appointments for Pre-Processing of Absentee Ballots on Sunday, November 6 and Monday, November 7

Body

Whereas, Michigan election law allows jurisdictions with a population of over 10,000 people to pre-process absentee ballots on the Sunday and/or Monday before Election Day;

 

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor intends to pre-process absentee ballots as allowable under Michigan election law;


Whereas, Michigan election law requires the Election Commission to appoint election inspectors assigned to pre-processing activities;


Whereas, The City Clerk has prepared a list of recommended appointments;


RESOLVED, That the Election Commission adopts the slate of appointments recommended by the City Clerk for pre-processing activities on Sunday, November 6 and Monday, November 7; and

 

RESOLVED, That the Election Commission authorizes the City Clerk to appoint election inspectors to fill vacant appointments resulting from refusal or failure to serve as necessary.
