Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. for General Civil Engineering and Surveying Services. (Additional $190,000.00 for a Contract Total of $490,000.00)
Memorandum
This memorandum and resolution requests approval of Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement for General Civil Engineering and Surveying Services with Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (Fishbeck). City Council approved a professional services agreement for $300,000.00 with Fishbeck on January 21, 2020 as part of Resolution No. R-20-019.

Under the current contract, Fishbeck has provided engineering services for a variety of projects. They have demonstrated themselves to be experienced in a wide range of disciplines, responsive, and cost effective in meeting the diverse needs on complex engineering tasks.

Fishbeck continues to provide engineering support on the design of the Broadway Water Main Replacement and the Huron Parkway Bridge Maintenance project, and additional contract authorization is required in order to complete work on these projects. Based upon the remaining needs, it is recommended that City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Fishbeck, to complete the design services for these remaining projects. Once work is completed on these projects, the contract will be closed out.

Fishbeck complies with the requirements of the City's Conflict of Interest, Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: The FY22 cost of this amendment will be paid for within approved Capital Project and Annual Operating Budgets, as appropriate. Future fiscal year costs will be for within the appropriate Capital and Annual Operating Budgets if approved by City Council.
