On Friday, July 5, 2019, Mayor Taylor delivered to Deputy City Clerk Steve Gerhart a written disapproval (veto) of Council Action R-19-325, Resolution to Order Election, Approve Charter Amendment of the Ann Arbor City Charter Sections to Establish Non-Partisan Nomination and Election for the Offices of Mayor and Council and Determine Ballot Language for this Amendment. R-19-325 was approved by City Council on Monday, July 1, 2019 and presented to Mayor Taylor as part of the Council record on July 3, pursuant to City Charter, Section 4.5.
The Mayor’s written disapproval is attached to this file and is hereby reported to City Council at the Regular Session of July 15, 2019 in accordance with City Charter, Section 4.5.
