Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the purchase of one John Deere Model 622G motor grader with material interruption system ($280,338.82) and a 12' front vee plow ($16,090.00), for a total cost of $296,428.82 through the State of Michigan MiDeal cooperative purchasing contract #071B7700090 for use by the Public Services Area, Public Works Unit.

The motor grader listed in this resolution will replace an existing 1999 Caterpillar motor grader (#1888) with 6,876 hours of use. The Public Works Unit uses this grader in its streets maintenance operations for gravel road maintenance throughout the City. In addition, the grader is used to maintain the many gravel parking lots/park roads in the City and to plow snow during the wintertime.

AIS Construction Equipment Corp., New Hudson, Michigan was awarded contract #071B7700090 by the State of Michigan MiDeal cooperative purchasing program for Construction Equipment.

Adequate funding for the purchase of this equipment has been budgeted in the Fleet Services Fund FY18 budget and the available Local Street fund balance.

AIS Construction Equipment Corp. complies with the requirements of the City's conflict of interest and non-discrimination ordinances.
