Resolution to Approve the McCowan Lots 27, 28 and 30 Annexation, 2633, 2647 and 2651 Dexter Road (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 8 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of these properties from Scio Township into the City. The properties are within the City’s water and sewer service area, and the current uses are consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. Council action on the proposed R1C (Single Family Dwelling District) zonings will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 15, 2017, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territories hereinafter described are located in the Township of Scio and are adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Robert McCowan is the owner of said properties; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Robert McCowan to annex said territories to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 279 of 1909 or Public Act 359 of of the State of Michigan, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Scio, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
Lots 27, 28 and 30 of Scioto Hills, a subdivision of part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 24, T2S, R5E, Scio Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan as recorded in Liber 7 of Plats, Page 8, Washtenaw County Records.
