Resolution Approving Settlement of Lawsuit Entitled Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, et al. vs. City of Ann Arbor, et al., Case No. 04-73352 (E.D. Mich.)

Whereas, The City Attorney has recommended settlement of a pending lawsuit entitled Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, et al. vs. City of Ann Arbor, et al., Case No. 04-73352 (E.D. Mich.), on the terms set forth in a proposed Final Consent Decree and Release of Claims that has been negotiated between representatives of all the parties, subject to approval by the City Council on behalf of the City of Ann Arbor;
RESOLVED, That settlement of the pending lawsuit entitled Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living, et al. vs. City of Ann Arbor, et al., Case No. 04-73352 (E.D. Mich.), on the terms set forth in the proposed Final Consent Decree and Release of Claims be approved;
RESOLVED, That the City Attorney be authorized to take the steps necessary to finalize the settlement; and
RESOLVED, That the City Attorney and City Administrator be authorized to take the steps necessary to implement the terms of the settlement following approval by the Court.
