Resolution to Approve the Hosford Annexation, 3.56 Acres, 2260 Traver Road (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 7 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this property from Ann Arbor Township into the City. The property is within the City’s water and sewer service area, and the current use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. Council action on the proposed R1B zoning will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of December 17, 2019, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, the William F. Hosford Trust (Jean Hosford, Trustee) is the owner of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of the William F. Hosford Trust (Jean Hosford, Trustee) to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Public Act 279 of 1909 or Public Act 359 of 1947 of the State of Michigan, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor:
Parcel 2: I-09-15-340-001
Beginning at the 1/4 Section Corner between Sections 15 and 16 of Township 2 South, Range 6 East, Ann Arbor Township, Washtenaw County, State of Michigan; thence N87°41'11"E 224.75 feet (recorded as N88°05'00"E) along the East-West 1/4 line of said Section 15 to a point on the concrete wall of a small dam; thence S04°01'08"E 5.00 feet (recorded as S03°40'30"E) to a found 1" iron pipe; thence S04°01'08"E 325.00 feet (recorded as S03°40'30"E) to a found iron pipe; thence S86°03'52"W 496.67 feet (recorded as S86°24'30"W 496.83 feet); thence N07°14'38"E 341.34 feet (recorded as N07°38'00"E 343.21 feet) along the centerline of Traver Road as monumented; thence N85°38'58"E 205.35 feet (recorded as N86°27'30"E) along the East-West 1/4 line of said Section 16 to the Place of Beginning, being a part of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 15 and the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 16 and containing 3.56 acres of land, more or less.
