Resolution to Carry Forward Unexpended Balance of FY 07 Office of Community Development General Fund Budget and Reallocate the Funds to the Office of Community Development General Fund Budget to be Spent on Human Service Agencies in FY 08 ($10,000.00) (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to carry forward unexpended General Funds ($10,000.00) from the FY 07 Office of Community Development budget to the FY 08 Office of Community Development General Fund budget for the following Human Service Agency:
Ann Arbor Community Center $10,000.00
On June 19, 2006, City Council approved Resolution R-284-6-06 which allocated $1,331,401 in General Funds for Human Service Agencies for FY 07. At the end of FY 07 a balance of $10,000.00 was unexpended from the Human Service Contracts in the General Fund.
The Office of Community Development recommends that these funds be carried forward to be allocated either back to the human service agency who has not expended these funds or to be held for emergency requests for Human Service Agencies in FY 08 as approved by the Community Services Administrator.

Body
Whereas, City Council approved Resolution R-284-6-06 on June 19, 2006 for a total of $1,331,401.00 for non profit human service agencies;
Whereas, The Ann Arbor Community Center has $10,000.00 in unexpended funds remaining; and
Whereas, The total amount of unexpended General fund allocated to non-profit human services agencies is $10,000.00;
RESOLVED, That City Council carry forward $10,000.00 from the fund balance of the FY 07 General Fund and appropriate $10,000.00 to the Office of Community Development FY 08 General Fund budget for the purpose of providing these funds back to the human service agency who has not expended these funds or to be held for emergency requests for human service agencies in FY 08 as approved by the Community Services Administrator;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute a contract with the non-profit human services agency(s), consistent with this resolution, subject to approval as to substance by the City Administrator, and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator is authorized to take necessary administrative actions to implement this resolution.
