Title
An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Map of Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor to Rezone 11 Park Properties (Argo Nature Area, Brookside Park, Cranbrook Park, Devonshire Park, Dolph Nature Area, Foxfire South Park, Lakewood Nature Area, Mary Beth Doyle Park, Oakridge Nature Area, Riverwood Nature Area, and West Park) from M1 (Limited Industrial District), PUD (Planned Unit Development District), R1A, R4A, R4C (Multiple-Family Dwelling District), R1C (Single-Family Dwelling), and R3 (Townhouse Dwelling Unit) to PL (Public Land District) (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 7 Yeas and 0 Nays) (Ordinance No. ORD-09-14)
Memorandum
This ordinance will rezone these eleven properties to PL (Public Land District).  They have been identified as properties currently owned and used by the City for park purposes, but do not contain the appropriate PL zoning classification.  The proposed zoning is consistent with the permitted uses and intent of the PL district.  The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 17, 2009, recommended approval of the rezonings.
 
Please note that the Farmers Market has been removed from this list of rezonings.  The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of February 17, 2009, recommended approval of the A2D2 Zoning Ordinance, in which the Farmers Market site was recommended to be zoned D2 district.  Then, at its meeting of March 17, 2009, the Planning Commission passed a motion to revise that recommendation.  The Planning Commission now recommends that the Farmers Market be zoned PL (Public Land District) as part of the A2D2 Zoning Ordinance.  The zoning discrepancy of a City Park being zoned something other than PL, which was to be addressed by this ordinance, will be addressed as part of the proposed A2D2 Zoning Ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR.
 
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
 
Section 1.  THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
