Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Trace Analytical Laboratories, Inc. in the amount of $160,000.01 for water and wastewater testing services.

The City's Environmental Laboratory utilizes contract laboratories to perform specialized water testing analyses that cannot be performed at the City's laboratory. These analyses include both anticipated compliance monitoring as well as unanticipated special interest projects.

In 2022 the City issued RFP 22-54 for these services. Four proposals were received, and after an evaluation of the proposals, the City selected Trace Analytical Laboratories, Inc. for their qualifications, quality of proposal, and competitive pricing. On August 15, 2022 entered into a Professional Services Agreement for $74,999.99. The City has been satisfied with their testing services provided by Trace and is now seeking Council authorization to increase the purchasing authority on the Agreement to cover the anticipated costs over the remainder of the 4-year renewable term.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding for this amendment is available in the approved FY24 Public Services Area Water Supply System and Sewage Disposal System operation and maintenance budgets and will be available in future year fiscal budgets if so, approved by council.
