Title
Resolution to Approve an Agreement with Fiber Optic Management LLC d/b/a Turnkey Network Solutions for On-Demand Fiber Optic Network Maintenance. (NTE $675,000.00)
Memorandum
Attached is a resolution authorizing an agreement with Fiber Optic Management LLC d/b/a Turnkey Network Solutions to provide maintenance to the city's fiber optic networks from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2027, subject to the availability of funding each year.

RFP 22-42 was issued for on-demand maintenance of the City's current and future fiber optic networks. Fiber Optic Management LLC d/b/a Turnkey Network Solutions was selected from two proposals and the term proposed is for 5 years. The city's fiber optic networks are a critical component to city operations and maintenance is required in the case of a failure. This agreement is on-demand and a fee schedule has been established on a per-hour and(or) per-unit basis. The city will only incur expenses when the city has determined a problem and contacts the contractor for troubleshooting and repair.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: It is difficult to predict when problems will occur, but it is anticipated expenses will exceed $75,000.00 over the term of this agreement. Funding for these expenses have been budgeted for in the FY23-FY27 Information Technology Services Budget. Current annual scheduled maintenance budget is $75,000.00 and unscheduled maintenance budget is $55,000.00.
