Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Contract with The Ultimate Software Group, Inc., for Implementation of UltiPro Staff Scheduler System ($75,000.00)
Memorandum
The attached resolution approves Amendment No. 1 to the Ultimate Master contract to implement the Staff Schedule module already purchased with the master contract hosted by The Ultimate Software Group, Inc.

The City of Ann Arbor Waste Water Treatment and Water Treatment Plants currently uses MS Excel to manage the scheduling bid process and in the Police Department MS Word is used for the process. The manual processes used are very time consuming to administer. The current process is done every 4 months. The current process is very inefficient and labor intensive for administration. The UltiPro Staff Scheduler module will eliminate the manual processes and integrate in to the timekeeping and payroll system.

The Ultimate Software Group, Inc.’s Staff Scheduler is a fully integrated web-based solution. The solution is fully hosted and supported by The Ultimate Software Group, Inc. and will significantly reduce the manual efforts involved in the development of the current scheduling bid process for staff and report processing. In addition, added functionality will provide employees with the ability to go online and securely view their schedules.

Funding for the UltiPro Staff Scheduler was planned for and approved in the Information Technology FY09 budget.

The Ultimate Software Group Inc. received Human Rights and Living Wage compliance approval on August 11, 2008.

Approval of the Resolution is recommended.
