Attached for your review and consideration is a resolution to authorize the awarding of a contract to Pavex Corporation in the amount of $81,325.00 for the Traver Street Storm Sewer Project.
ITB#4365 was issued on BidNet for the Traver Street Storm Sewer Project, which includes the installation of new storm sewer beneath the Ann Arbor Railroad at the intersection of the railroad and Traver Street. The existing storm sewer outlet was previously removed from service due to an increased risk of embankment failure. The new outlet will provide adequate conveyance of stormwater flow to the bottom of the embankment and reduce the risk of embankment failure.
The City received the following two bids:
Pavex Corporation $81,325.00
Fonson Company, Inc. $140,675.00
Staff is recommending award of a contract to Pavex Corporation in the amount of $81,325.00. A construction contingency of $10,000.00 is requested to cover potential contract change orders to be approved by the City Administrator. It is requested that the total $91,325.00 contract and contingency amount be approved for the life of the project without regard to fiscal year.
Budget Impact:
Funding for the Traver Street Storm Sewer Project is included in the Stormwater System Capital Budget.
Pavex Corporation complies with the City's non-discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
