Title
Resolution to Approve Vasconi Annexation, 0.96 Acres, Southwest Corner of Geddes Avenue and Arlington Boulevard (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 7 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
This resolution is to approve annexation of this property, which is within the City’s water and sewer service area and is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan, into the City. An ordinance to designate the property as R1A Single-Family Dwelling District will be prepared and scheduled for Council action after the annexation process is complete. The City Planning Commission recommended approval of the annexation request at its meeting of July 21, 2009.
Additional comments from staff were received after the Planning staff report was prepared, noting that there is no sanitary or storm sewer mains fronting the property, however, there is a project in the City’s FY 2010-2015 Capital Improvements Plan to construct improvements (including sanitary sewer) along the Geddes Avenue corridor beginning with a study phase in FY 2010. This information was given verbally to the Planning Commission and does not appear in the attached Planning staff report.
