INTERNAL BUSINESS
Follow Up on Ongoing HRC Work

in Human Rights.
Fair Housing Training and Source of Income Discussion: L. Stambaugh
shared that she attended the Fair Housing Center of Southeast Michigan
training. The training was in-person located outside of Ann Arbor. L.
Stambaugh encouraged commissioners to attend the next training and
provided the commission with a handout from the seminar.
Conversion Therapy Discussion: L. Stambaugh reported that Colorado
and Michigan among other states have blocked enforcement of laws
prohibiting conversion therapy for minors in response to a US Supreme
Court decision overturning a Colorado law that prohibited conversion
therapy for minors. The Supreme court opinion did not bar treatment
besides talk therapy so the Ann Arbor ordinance banning conversion
therapy for minors remains in effect for any treatments not struck down by
the Supreme Court.
Complaints: J. Garber reported the commission has received 1 new
complaint since the last meeting. Currently there are five complaints
under review.
NAACP & HRC Partnership Discussion: J. Garber shared that he and
