CALL TO ORDER  
Chair L. Keeler called the electronic meeting of the Commission on  
Disability Issues to order at 4:03 P.M.

Members of the public addressed the commission.  
APPROVAL OF AGENDA  
A motion was made by Damon, seconded by Mozak, that the  
Agenda be approved as presented. On a voice vote, the Chair  
declared the motion carried.  
APPROVAL OF MINUTES  
A motion was made by Damon, seconded by Packard, that the  
Minutes be Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City  
Council and should be returned by 4/6/2026.On a voice vote, the  
Chair declared the motion carried

CITY PERSONNEL REPORT - KENNEDI CUMMINGS  
Kennedi Cummings reported that there is no city personnel report or  
updates at this time.  
CITY COUNCIL UPDATE - AYESHA GHAZI EDWIN  
Council Member Ayesha Ghazi-Edwin s was not present to provide an  
update to the commission.  
SPECIAL PRESENTATION  
WASHTENAW LIBRARY FOR THE BLIND AND PRINT DISABLED - KATIE  
MONKIEWICZ  
For information on the events that are taking place at the Library, please  
DISABILITY NETWORK (Washtenaw, Monroe, Livingston) - ANDREA HENRY  
For information on the events that are taking place with the Disability  
PARTNERS IN ACCESS - ROB PACKARD  
Commissioner Packard reported that the sub-committee did meet last  
week and discussed updates on current topics brought to the  
commission.The committee also discussed updates regarding a  
commission social media page and new commission leadership.The  
sub-committee will meet again in April.Those who are interested in  
participating, or leading a committee can contact Chair Keeler.  
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - RACHEL HAWKINS  
Commissioner Hawkins reported that CTN is still booking guest speakers  
for Ann Arbor Inclusive episodes. Commissioner Mozak shared that she  
has become the backup host for Ann Arbor Inclusive. More information  
and details to come.  
RECRUITING ACTIVITY - KATHLEEN MOZAK  
Commissioner Mozak reported that recruitment for the Commission has  
been active recently. The Commission has 2 vacancies. Commissioner  
Mozak is currently reviewing 3 previously submitted applications.

TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION UPDATE - LARRY KEELER  
Chair Keeler reported that the Transportation Commission did meet last  
month. The commission discussed different completed and current  
construction projects around the City. Chair Keeler also shared that the  
commission discussed different parking issues around the city and  
adding additional bike lanes as well. More information and details to  
come. The commission is determined to address snow removal concerns  
early for the upcoming season. The Transportation Commission is  
meeting tonight at 7:00pm and the meeting will be live on CTN.  
U OF M COUNCIL FOR DISABILITY CONCERNS MEETING UPDATE - MATTHEW  
SOLOMON  
Commissioner Solomon reported that the University of Michigan Council  
for Disability Concerns did meet this month on zoom. There was a short  
presentation about Neurodiversity project online. Commissioner  
Solomon also reported that the upcoming Beautiful Minds Conference  
will be held April 14, 2026 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. All are welcomed to  
attend.  
CHAIR REPORT - LARRY KEELER  
Chair Keeler reported that the Independent Community Police Oversight  
Commission (ICPOC) invited the commission to attend the upcoming  
Commission meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. This  
meeting will feature a Community Conversation on Police–Community  
Interactions with special guest Dr. Nickolas Camp, a professor and  
researcher from the University of Michigan whose work examines  
disparities in police-citizen encounters and their impact on community  
trust. All are welcomed to attend.  
Chair Keeler reported that the commission will participate in VISIONS  
2026. The event will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 11:00am  
to 4:00pm. The event will be at the Downtown Ann Arbor District Library  
branch. Chair Keeler asked commissioners to consider volunteering to  
table the event. More information and details to come.  
OLD BUSINESS  
Commission Bylaws Discussion - LARRY KEELER  
Chair Keeler nominated himself to be the Commission Bylaws  
sub-committee chair. Larry Keeler informed the commission, that he will  
be the sub-committee chair and Commission Mozak will serve as a  
sub-committee member. Chair Keeler asked commissioners to review  
the current commission bylaws. Commissioners will provided their  
thoughts and feedback on current commission procedures by the next  
commission meeting. The commission will discussion the language of  
the bylaws at the next commission meeting.  
NEW BUSINESS  
Handicapped Parking Concern: DDA' Development and TIF Plan - LARRY KEELER  
Commissioners addressed concerns and issues related to the DDA'  
Development and TIF Plan. Commissioners also discussed difficulties in  
addressing this concerns and issues in the community as a commission.  
Chair Keeler reported that he will be contacting the DDA for more  
information and will schedule a meeting with the commissions council  
liaison and the city's ADA coordinator. All commissioners interested in  
joining the meeting are welcomed to attend. More information and details  
to come.

Damon moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mozak that the  
meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
