Resolution to Appoint a Member to the Local Development Financing Authority

Body

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor and City of Ypsilanti, both located in Washtenaw County, Michigan, created a Local Development Financing Authority (LDFA) for the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti SmartZone^SM ;

Whereas, The agreement between the two cities requires the City Council of the City of Ann Arbor to appoint six voting members to the governing body of the LDFA;

Whereas, There are currently two full term positions available on the LDFA Board and for appointment; and

Whereas, The agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and City of Ypsilanti requires that one of the City of Ann Arbor appointments shall be a Councilmember;  

RESOLVED, That Councilmember Stephen Rapundalo is appointed to a full 4 year term to end June 30, 2015 and that fills one of the currently available positions; and

RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify the chair of the Local Development Financing Authority of this appointment.
