Whereas, Chapter 109, Section 9:79 of the Ann Arbor City Code, provides City Council with the authority to appoint members to a Hearing Board to conduct annual liquor license renewal and revocation hearings;
Whereas, City Council approved Resolution R-11-080 appointing Councilmember Derezinski to be the Hearing Officer for all future annual renewal hearings required on a recommendation by the Council Liquor License Review Committee of nonrenewal of a liquor license recommendation;
Whereas, The Council Liquor License Review Committee may make recommendations for revocation of a liquor license at any time during a license year (May to April); and
Whereas, The Council Liquor License Review Committee recommends that the appointment of Councilmember Derezinski as Hearing Officer be extended to include any future revocation hearing required on a recommendation by the Council Liquor License Review Committee;
RESOLVED, That City Council hereby appoints Councilmember Derezinski to be the Hearing Officer for all future liquor license revocation hearings conducted on recommendation of the Council Liquor License Review Committee by the City, through December 5, 2011.
