Resolution to Approve Temporary Authorization for Outdoor Liquor License Service to 314 S. Main LLC, dba Melange Bistro at 312 S. Main Street for Fridays in June, July and August
Memorandum
Melange Bistro is requesting Temporary Authorization for Outdoor Liquor License Service on Friday nights in June, July and August and Thursday, July 21 during Art Fair week. The applicant is in the process of applying for an official outdoor service permit with the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, but would like authorization for the maximum of 12 temporary permits so as to not lose the summer season this year. This resolution would allow the applicant to get a sidewalk occupancy permit for the dates requested until the permanent permit can be approved by the City and the MLCC. Approval by City Council is required in order for the applicant to receive both the temporary outdoor liquor license and the permanent Outdoor Service permit from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

Whereas, 314 S. Main LLC, dba Melange Bistro, has applied for the maximum 12 permits for temporary authorizations for outdoor liquor license service on a city sidewalk; and
Whereas, 314 S. Main LLC, dba Melange Bistro, has submitted an application with the Michigan Liquor Control Commission and the City of Ann Arbor for an official permit for outdoor service; and
RESOLVED, That the request by 314 S. Main LLC, dba Melange Bistro at 312 S. Main Street, for approval of temporary authorization for Outdoor Liquor Service on the city sidewalk for the maximum 12 permits be approved for Fridays, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15, Thursday, July 21, Fridays, July 22, July 29, August 5, August 12 and August 19; and
RESOLVED, That this approval is contingent upon the willingness of the Ann Arbor Police Department to enforce the liquor license laws regarding Outdoor Service...
