Resolution to Appoint Susan Hutton as a Member of the City of Ann Arbor Environmental Commission

Whereas, The appointment of members of the Environmental Commission is a prerogative of the City Council;
Whereas, There is currently a vacancy on the Environmental Commission due to the expiration of Steve Bean's term;
Whereas, Susan Hutton has expressed an interest in serving on the Environmental Commission and would accept an appointment to the Commission effective Tuesday, February 22, 2011; and
Whereas, There is an immediate need on the Environmental Commission for a new member; and
Whereas, Susan Hutton was presented to City Council on February 7, 2011 for consideration for appointment to the City Environmental Commission;
RESOLVED, That Susan Hutton be appointed to serve a three-year term on the Environmental Commission, filling a vacancy, beginning Tuesday, February 22, 2011 and expiring February 21, 2014; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Ms. Hutton of this appointment.
