Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Materials used for Maintenance Activities within Field Operations Utilizing Governmental Pricing extended by Stoneco of Michigan ($75,000.00)
Memorandum
Attached is a resolution for your approval for the purchase of materials from Stoneco of Michigan. These materials are used for normal maintenance activities such as watermain breaks and street repairs.
The Washtenaw County Road Commission solicited bids for operating materials and Stoneco of Michigan was the lowest responsible bidder. Stoneco of Michigan has agreed to extend the governmental pricing to the City of Ann Arbor. Below is an estimate of the City’s expected purchase of materials through June 30, 2011.

MDOT 21AA-Limestone $35,000.00
Class II Sand $12,000.00
6A Washed Limestone $25,000.00
Ohio #2 - Stone $ 3,000.00
Stoneco of Michigan received Human Rights approval on July 22, 2010.
Sufficient funds are budgeted within the approved FY11 Public Services Area operations and maintenance budget.

Whereas, Competitive bids were solicited by the Washtenaw County Road Commission and Stoneco of Michigan submitted the lowest responsible bid;
Whereas, Stoneco of Michigan has extended governmental pricing to the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Stoneco of Michigan received Human Rights approval on July 22, 2010; and
Whereas, Sufficient funds are available in the approved Public Services Area, Field Operations Unit’s FY2011 operating and maintenance budget for the proposed expenditures through June 30, 2011;
