Memorandum

The attached resolution is contingent upon Council approval of Ordinance 23-33 at second reading on December 4, 2023. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length upon approval by City Council. Summary publication is appropriate due to the cost of publication and length of the ordinance. The ordinance will also be available publicly online.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 23-33 shall be made by the following summary: 

 

Ordinance 23-XX amends Section 5.10.2 by renaming the Building Frontage Map to Street Type Designation Map and adding Transit Corridor street type designations to the referenced map for use in the TC1 district, and amends the required front setbacks provided in Table 5.17-4 for the TC1 district to a minimum of 18 feet and a maximum of 28 feet, as measured from the curb, when on a designated transit corridor.

 

The effective date of Ordinance 23-33 is 10 days after publication. A complete text of this ordinance is available for inspection at the City Clerk’s office on the second floor of the Guy C. Larcom Municipal Building, 301 East Huron Street, Ann Arbor or at <http://www.a2gov.org>
