Memorandum
The attached resolution is contingent upon Council approval of Ordinance 23-32 at second reading on December 4, 2023. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length upon approval by City Council. Summary publication is appropriate due to the cost of publication and length of the ordinance. The ordinance will also be available publicly online.

RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 23-32 shall be made by the following summary:
Ordinance 23-32 repeals Section 5.18.6 in its entirely, eliminating the premium floor area options that offer increased floor area when certain amenities are provided, and amends Table 5.17-4 in Section 5.17.4 (Mixed Use Zoning Districts) to change the maximum FAR (floor area ratio as a percentage of lot area) of the D1 and D2 districts to “none.”
The effective date of Ordinance 23-32 is 10 days after publication. A complete text of this ordinance is available for inspection at the City Clerk’s office on the second floor of the Guy C. Larcom Municipal Building, 301 East Huron Street, Ann Arbor or at <http://www.a2gov.org>
