Memorandum
The City purchased this land from The William F. Hosford and Margaret W. Hosford Trust on December 18, 2020 for parkland purposes with funds from the Open Space and Parkland Acquisition Millage. Both parcels are vacant Ann Arbor Charter Township islands and are adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor.

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor owns vacant land on Traver Road in Ann Arbor Charter Township adjacent to Leslie Park Golf Course;

Whereas, The City wishes to annex the property and include it as part of the park system; and

Whereas, Section 9 of the Michigan Home Rule City Act (MCL 117.9(8)) allows for annexation of land to the City of Ann Arbor by City Council resolution if the land to be annexed is owned by the City, adjacent to the City, and consists of a park or vacant property with no one residing therein;

RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby annexes the following described parcel from Ann Arbor Charter Township to the City of Ann Arbor:

BEGINNING at the East 1/4 corner of Section 16, T2S, R6E, Ann Arbor Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan; thence S85?38'58"W (recorded as S86?24'30"W - Liber 5347, Page 964) 205.35 feet along the East and West 1/4 line of said Section 16; thence along the centerline of Traver Road in the following three (3) courses: N07?14'38"E (recorded as N07?38'00"E - Liber 5347, Page 964) 210.59 feet, Northeasterly 374.84 feet along the arc of a 300.00 foot radius circular curve to the right, through a central angle of 71?35'23", having a chord that bears N43?02'19"E 350.93 feet and N78?50'01 "E 261.10 feet; thence along the Easterly right-of-way line of the Ann Arbor Railroad Southerly 488.20 feet along the arc of a 3769.72 foot radius nontangent...
