Title
Resolution to Approve Revised Bylaws of the Transportation Commission
Memorandum
The Transportation Commission approved a change to its bylaws to change the membership by replacing “one owner or operator of a transportation business operating in Ann Arbor” with an additional “member of the public.” The Transportation Commission cited difficulty in finding a local transportation business owner/operator representative as the rationale for this change.
This change in membership of the Transportation Commission also resulted in a need to amend the ordinance which establishes the Transportation Commission. The ordinance amendment is pending approval at second reading on August 7, 2023. Approval of this resolution is contingent upon approval of the ordinance amendment.
The bylaws have been reviewed by the City Attorney's Office and comport with the standard bylaws format consistent with Council Resolution R-08-496.
