Title
Resolution to Purchase Cohesity Backup System and Support and Professional Services from CDW Government LLC ($383,823.47)
Memorandum
The attached resolution seeks authorization to purchase a Cohesity backup solution and enter into a support agreement, with installation and professional services provided by CDW Government LLC. The backup system is a critical piece of infrastructure, which significantly aides in protecting the City from cyber security attacks. The City’s existing backup solution is aging and maintenance support services on the older solution has become cost prohibitive.
Information Technology reviewed several proposed solutions from multiple vendors seeking quality features and services. This solution was chosen for its reasonable cost and provision of multifactor authentication security that is preferred by the City’s cyber insurance providers.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: This expenditure is planned for and budgeted in the FY2024 Information Technology Services Fund budget.
The City received this quote through MiDEAL, a consortium procurement source used regularly by the City.
