Resolution to Close Streets for the Make Your Mark Event on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 6:00 AM through 7:00 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023

Attached for your consideration is a request from the Main Street Area Association to close their footprint for the Art Fair one day early to hold a Make Your Mark Event. Similar to the Townie Party that begins just prior to the Art Fair closures and to the Artoberfest held in the Fall, this will be a "mini-Art Fair" celebrating the community's inner artist. This street closure mirrors the restaurant/retail closures and the Art Fair footprint. While the event is only for one day, the closures will roll into the normal Art Fair closures the following day.
The sponsor already has its approval from the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas, pursuant to the MLCC regulations;
The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, and to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets.
Notification of the street closing will be provided through the City's website and through the Main Street Area Association's communications and website.
The event has been coordinated with all relevant City service areas for the purposes of traffic control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and the general public.
