Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution for Amendment Number 6 to the Professional Services Agreement with Tetra Tech, Inc. for environmental consulting services for the Ann Arbor Landfill Monitoring and Maintenance Program, through June 30, 2025. The total additional amount requested for FY24 and FY25 is $380,658.00 with a contingency of $40,000.00.

The City has partnered with Tetra Tech since 2007, as part of our ongoing Ann Arbor Landfill Monitoring and Maintenance Program. This program provides the City a professional environmental consultant to perform the tasks necessary to satisfy the monitoring requirements of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) for groundwater and gas in the vicinity of the Ann Arbor Landfill.

Tetra Tech, Inc. was founded in 1966, has more than 50 years of experience, and is a leading provider of consulting and engineering services within the United States. Tetra Tech, Inc. supports government and commercial clients by providing innovative solutions focused on water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, and energy. Since 2007, Tetra Tech, Inc. has managed the City's landfill Inspections, purge wells, purge well discharge line, repair and maintenance, Financial Assurance Mechanism calculations and updates, landfill flow meter telemetry, hydrogeologic monitoring plan (HMP), technical memos for the 1,4-dioxane investigation, federal greenhouse gas reporting, semi-annual groundwater reporting, quarterly wastewater reporting, and quarterly gas monitoring reports. This institutional knowledge is invaluable to the City in the compliance and maintenance of the Ann Arbor Landfill (AALF).
