Memorandum
Attached for your consideration and approval is a request from the University of Michigan to close the following streets from 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM on Sunday, April 16, 2023:

State Street from Dewey to North University
Monroe from State to Tappan
Tappan from Monroe to South University
South University from Tappan to Church
Church from South University to Geddes
Geddes from Church to Fletcher
Fletcher from Geddes to Washington
Washington from Fletcher to Thayer
Thayer from Washington to North University
North University from Thayer to State Street
Madison from State Street to Division
Division from Madison to Hoover
Hoover from Madison to Greene and Keech (finish inside Michigan Stadium)

The actual event will start at 8:00 AM and end at 10:30 AM with the additional time to be used for set-up and clean-up. All streets will be reopened as soon as safely possible after participants have cleared the areas, but no later than 10:00 AM. An amplified PA system will be utilized during the event. Speakers will be erected near the start line for music and various announcements to start no earlier than 8:00 AM. Various other speaker locations will provide additional on-course entertainment.

Notification will be made through the City's website, GovDelivery and University communications.

The race, owned and managed by the University of Michigan Athletic Department working in conjunction with the Ann Arbor Track Club, will coincide with the spring football weekend. The University is partnering with non-profit, local beneficiaries.
