Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve the closing of certain streets for the Ann Arbor Marathon Running Event on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 3:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.

The applicant, CFC-Epic Races, LLC, is raising money through this event for UM Addiction Center, Kresge Hearing Research Foundation, Girls on the Run, Packard Health and North Star Reach.

The applicant requests approval from the State of Michigan Liquor Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas pursuant to the M.L.C.C. regulations.

The applicant has requested to close the following streets between 3:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. and the streets will be reopened as soon as safely possible after participants have cleared the areas (many of these streets will occupy one lane only) The races start at 8:00 AM:

S. Fifth from Hill to John
Hill from Brown to East University
Brown from Hoover to Hill
Hoover from Brown to Division
East University from Hill to Palmer Field
Observatory from Geddes to Washington Heights
East U across Pedestrian Mall to North U.- cross North U.
Palmer Field path to Observatory
Observatory to Geddes
Geddes to E. Huron River Dr.
E. Huron River Dr. to N. Dixboro
N. Dixboro to Gallup Park Pathway
Gallup Park Pathway through Mitchell Field to Fuller Rd. (Stay on sidewalk)
Fuller Rd. Sidewalk to E. Medical Center Dr. sidewalk to Arb entrance
Arb trails to Washington Heights

As has been the practice in the past, the applicant will send postcards to impacted residents along the Geddes area no later than one week prior to the event. The City's website will also include information about street closures for this event.
