Resolution to Organize a Joint Meeting of Interested Individuals from the Environmental Commission, Transportation Commission, Energy Commission, Commission on Disability Issues, A2ZERO Ambassadors, and other Community Stakeholders to Identify Opportunities for Greater Coordination around Transportation, Pedestrian Safety, and Sustainability Initiatives Related to Sidewalk Expansion and Maintenance

Body

Whereas, The City of Ann Arbor has made significant progress in our Ann Arbor’s Living Carbon Neutrality Plan (A2ZERO) and our Moving Together Towards Vision Zero Comprehensive Transportation Plan (Moving Together);

 

Whereas, The City Council adopted the A2ZERO and Moving Together programs at different times and implementation has revealed opportunities for greater coordination, especially around sidewalk expansion and maintenance;

 

RESOLVED, That City Council directs the City Administrator to convene interested representatives from the City’s Environmental Commission, Transportation Commission, Energy Commission, Commission on Disability Issues, and A2ZERO Ambassadors, along with relevant staff, to identify opportunities for greater coordination between the City’s transportation, safety, and sustainability initiatives as it relates to sidewalk expansion and maintenance; and

 

RESOLVED, That City Council directs the City Administrator to report back on results from that convening within 90 days.
