Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution authorizing a 2-year construction contract with RMD Holdings, Ltd. d/b/a Nationwide Construction Group for up to $100,000.00 for on-call guardrail and fence repairs.
Public Works utilizes outside contractors to perform maintenance and repairs of damaged City-owned guardrails and fencing. RFP #22-33 was advertised on the City's Website and on the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website. One (1) proposal was received and publicly opened on April 26, 2022 from RMD Holdings, Ltd. d/b/a Nationwide Construction Group whose proposal is responsive and the best value to the City.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding is available in the approved FY23 Operation and Maintenance budgets within the Public Services Area. As tasks are performed, their associated costs will be charged to the appropriate funding sources. Funding is anticipated to be available in future fiscal years, if so approved by City Council.
RMD Holdings, Ltd. d/b/a Nationwide Construction Group complies with the City's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
