RESOLVED, That the City Council authorizes the City Attorney to fully resolve the case titled Michael Dortch v. City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County Circuit Court, Case No. 19-1247-CD, for a lump sum payment equivalent to six months of Plaintiff’s base salary (approximately $59,498.40) to be included as part of his Final Average Compensation, and $40,000 in attorney’s fees and costs to Plaintiff’s attorney. This resolution is contingent upon Plaintiff’s retirement from the City, a dismissal of all claims with prejudice, and a full settlement agreement and release of all claims in a form and with terms approved by the City Attorney.
RESOLVED, That the City Council authorizes and directs the Interim City Administrator and City Attorney to take such further actions as are consistent with the purposes of this resolution.
