Resolution to Approve Agreement with The Regents of the University of Michigan for Municipal Parking Citation Processing, Collections and Record Management Services
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution to approve a contract with The Regents of the University of Michigan (the University) for parking citation processing, collection and record management services.

The City and the University have executed similar contracts in 2008 and 2014 for parking citation processing, collection and record management services, through which the City provides service to the University. The University compensates the City by providing funds to offset the expense for one of the City's two Parking Referees and overhead costs. Staff time of Treasury, Customer Service and Attorney staff, as well as information technology and cost allocation plan expenditures are included in the overhead calculations. The existing contract for services expired December 31, 2021.

The new contract would be effective January 1, 2022 and expires December 31, 2026, with an option for a three year extension
