Resolution Requesting a Legal Opinion to Provide Guidance for City Council to Address the Perceived Discrepancies in Attorney Jennifer Salvatore’s Report of Confidential Investigation of December 7, 2021

Body

Whereas, Attorney Jennifer Salvatore, as described on her website, is an accomplished trial lawyer, specializing in employment law, civil rights, white collar criminal defense and other areas;

 

Whereas, Attorney Salvatore was retained by the City of Ann Arbor;

 

Whereas, Councilmembers have the reasonable expectation that communications provided by the City Attorney and outside counsel are factually accurate and complete;

 

Whereas, A sample discrepancy in Attorney Salvatore’s third Investigation Report of December 7, 2021 is assuming Tom Guajardo’s comparable execs received a severance benefit before they had been at the city for approximately a year; and

 

RESOLVED, That a legal opinion be issued to provide guidance for City Council to address the perceived discrepancies in Attorney Salvatore’s third Investigation Report of December 7, 2021 no later than March 1, 2022.
