To Approve the Ann Arbor Housing Commission FY22 Annual Action Plan (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023)
Memorandum
The Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of October, 1998 introduced Five-Year and Annual Public Housing Authority (PHA) Plans to provide a ready source for interested parties to locate basic PHA policies, rules and requirements concerning the PHA’s operations, programs and services and to inform HUD, families served by the PHA, and members of the public of the PHA’s mission and strategies for serving the needs of the low-income and very low-income families.
The Commission is required to submit to HUD a FY22 Plan no later than April 17, 2022. AAHC staff met with the Resident Advisory Board (RAB) on December 14, 2021 to review, discuss and answer questions regarding the Agency Plan, which are incorporated into the Plan.
The AAHC’s Annual Plan was on public display for a minimum of 45 days on the Commission’s website, beginning November 18, 2021 thru February 16, 2022. The required Public Hearing was held on January 26, 2022 during the regularly scheduled Board Meeting to further receive resident and community comments.
The Plan is now complete and ready for Board consideration and approval and subsequent execution of relevant certifications by the President of the Board and the Executive Director.

WHEREAS, the Ann Arbor Housing Commission is required to submit an Annual Action Plan to HUD no later than April 17, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Resident Advisory Board met on December 14, 2021, reviewed and made comments on the FY22 Annual Action Plan which are incorporated into the Plan; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 26, 2022 and the plan was on display to the public for comments beginning on November 18, 2021; and
RESOLVED that the Board of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission approves the FY22 Annual Agency Plan for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and authorizes the electronic submission of the Plan to HUD on or before April 17, 2022.
