Title
Resolution to Approve the Purchase of 75 Streetlight Luminaires from Graybar Electric Company, Inc. through the Michigan Delivering Extended Agreements Locally (MIDEAL) ($37,500.00)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval, please find a resolution to authorize the purchase of 75 LED streetlight fixtures from Graybar Electric Company, Inc. in the amount of $37,500.00. The fixtures will be used for inventory to address outages or other incidents that warrant streetlight replacement. The fixtures are dark-sky compliant and have a 7 pin receptacle socket which means they are compatible with 'smart city' sensors (which could be added at a future date).

Graybar was chosen by the State of Michigan to provide "electrical, lighting, data communications and security products and related products, services and solutions - statewide" (Contract #171180000000463). Under MiDEAL, the State of Michigan allows Michigan cities to buy goods and services from state contractors. Purchasing streetlight fixtures from Graybar under the State contract saves time and resources by foregoing local procurement in favor of the procurement already done by the State. The total purchase of the fixtures is $37,500.00.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: The funding for the purchase of these devices are included in the Engineering/Transportation Service Unit FY2022 approved Operations and Maintenance Budget and appropriate capital budgets.
