Resolution Directing Report to Evaluate Interim Measures to Address Flooding Issues in Narrow Gauge Area

Body

Whereas, City staff have engaged an engineering firm to conduct a study of the Narrow Gauge area to determine what flooding issues may exist in the area, and what mitigation efforts may be appropriate; and

 

Whereas, This study may take up to two years to complete and while it is underway residents in the area have asked for some interim measures to address reported issues related to the privately owned detention pond in their condominium development;

 

RESOLVED, That the City Administrator is directed to prepare a report for City Council evaluating whether there are interim measures that can be implemented to address reported flooding issues in the Narrow Gauge area while this engineering report is underway, to be communicated to City Council by September 16, 2021.
