Resolution to Approve Bylaws of the Council of the Commons

Memorandum

These are the initial bylaws of the Council of the Commons. The bylaws have been reviewed by the City Attorney's Office and comport with the standard bylaws format consistent with Council Resolution R-08-496.

UPDATE 7/2/21: At its July 1, 2021 meeting the Council of the Commons voted to change the speaking time for public comment from 2 minutes to 3 minutes per person. This change is reflected in the bylaws before City Council for approval.

Whereas, The Council of the Commons approved the attached bylaws at its May 6, 2021 meeting; and

Whereas, City Council has passed a resolution requiring all proposed bylaws of City boards and commissions to be approved by City Council;

RESOLVED, That City Council approves the attached bylaws of the Council of the Commons.
