Title
Resolution to Approve a Contract with Governmental Consultant Services, Inc. for Lobbying Services ($48,000.00)
Memorandum
The attached resolution requests authorization for a one-year contract for services with Governmental Consultant Services, Inc. (GCSI) for $48,000.00 for fiscal year 2022.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funds for this contract are included in the FY2022 City Administrator's budget.

Since 2001 GCSI has provided the City with legislative advocacy and assistance with the governor and state departments. GCSI has contributed to the City's efforts to increase state funding for fire protection, land-use planning, and parks and recreation projects. GCSI monitors issues currently pending before the legislature and advocates the city's specific interests. Since an RFI for these services has not been issued since inception, staff anticipates issuing an RFI in the fall of 2021 and re-evaluate the services the City needs.

GCSI's current contract for services expires on June 30, 2021.

GCSI complies with the requirements of the Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
