This easement is provided at no cost to the City.  Acceptance of this easement is recommended.

Whereas, Washtenaw County is the owner of property commonly known as 2960 Washtenaw Ave. and 2270 Platt Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104; and

 

Whereas, Washtenaw County and the City are in discussions for the City to obtain a grant of easement for an additional 10 feet of public right-of-way along the west side of Platt Road, described as:

 

A parcel of land situated in the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County,

Michigan, and described as follows:

Part of the Northeast fractional 1 / 4 of Section 3, T3S, R6E, City of

Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, being more particularly

described as:

Commencing at the East 1 /4 corner of said Section 3, thence S

89°56'30 W 33.00 feet along the E-W 1/4 line of said Section 3 and

the North line of Kensington Farms No. 2 as recorded in Liber 12 of

Plats, Page 58, Washtenaw County Records, to the POINT OF

BEGINNING;

thence continuing S 89°56'30 W 10.00 feet along said E-W 1/4

line and North line of said Plat;

thence N 00°35'21 E 1890.18 feet to the Southern Right-of-Way

line of Washtenaw Avenue;

thence S 72°14'28 E 10.46 feet along the Southern Right-of-Way

line of Washtenaw Avenue;

thence S 00°35'22 W 1886.98 feet along the East line of said

Section 3 and the centerline of Platt Road (66.00 feet wide) to the

POINT OF BEGINNING. Being a part of the Northeast fractional 1 / 4 of

said Section 3.

 

RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby accepts this grant of easement, which the City Attorney is directed to record upon receiving a signed grant of easement in a form approved by the City Attorney.
