Resolution to Approve an Agreement with Washtenaw County Community Mental Health to provide Mental Health Treatment Services to Sobriety Court and Mental Health Court Participants ($84,705.00)
Memorandum
This resolution seeks Council approval for an Agreement with Washtenaw County Community Mental Health for mental health services to 15th Judicial District Court defendants who are participants in the Sobriety Court and Mental Health Court programs. These services are funded by grant funds by grants from the Supreme Court of Michigan State Court Administrative Office for Grant Fiscal Year 2021, without regard to City Fiscal Year.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Services provided under this agreement will be funded through the State Court Administrative Office Michigan Drug Court Grant Program (SCAO-MDCGP) ($8,678.00) and Michigan Mental Health Court Grant Program (SCAO-MMHCGP) ($76,027.00). The grant awards were accepted, and contracts approved by City Council on November 16, 2020 (R-20-429 and R-20-431).

Approval of a ten percent (10%) contingency amount is also requested to allow the Court to increase services should additional funds become available for mental health services through an approved SCAO grant program budget amendment (e.g., approved grant project line-item budget adjustments within the total program award).
