Whereas, By resolution on September 14, 2020, City Council requested the Human Resources Director to offer the position of City Administrator to Tom Crawford, contingent upon completion of a successful background check;
Whereas, on September 14, 2020, the City Council also authorized Mayor Christopher Taylor, with the assistance of the City Attorney, to negotiate a proposed contract with Tom Crawford to serve as the City Administrator, with the final contract subject to approval of form by the City Attorney and approval by resolution of City Council, on or before October 19, 2020;
Whereas, A contract has been negotiated and a proposed agreement has been reached with Tom Crawford, with the draft agreement attached to this resolution;
Whereas, A standard background check is being conducted by Amy Cell Talent and is anticipated to be completed shortly;
RESOLVED, That City Council approves the attached Employment Agreement between the City of Ann Arbor and Tom Crawford contingent upon the completion of a successful background check; and
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the agreement, after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
