Resolution to Restate the Duties and Membership of the Housing and Human Services Advisory Board
Memorandum
This resolution makes the youth member of the HHSAB a voting member, bringing the total voting members to 14. This resolution also consolidates the two prior resolutions that created the HHSAB and contains minor, non-substantive clarifications.

Whereas, City Council created the Housing and Human Services Advisory Board (HHSAB) by Resolutions R-14-1-05, R-28-1-07; and

Whereas, City Council wishes to make youth members of the HHSAB voting members; and

Whereas, City Council wishes to consolidate and restate the duties and membership of the HHSAB in a single resolution;

RESOLVED, That the purpose of the Housing and Human Services Advisory Board is to provide recommendations to the City Council, City Administrator, and Office of Community Development regarding policies and programs to address the housing and human services needs of low-income residents of the City of Ann Arbor;

RESOLVED, That the HHSAB has the following specific duties:

1. Develop an annual work plan, for approval by City Council, for the implementation of housing and human service policies and programs.

2. Provide leadership in developing the Consolidated Strategy and Plan and its annual elements, as required by the federal department of Housing and Urban Development.

3. Make recommendations to City Council regarding citywide housing and human service policies.

4. Annually, make recommendations to City Council regarding funding priorities for federal, state, and City allocations and grants for housing and human services.

5. Oversee a public participation process to assess community housing and human service needs.

RESOLVED, That the Office Community Development shall assist the HHSAB as follows:
