Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment Number 1 to the Priority Based Budgeting Agreement with Resource Exploration, LLC for Additional Services ($22,500)
Memorandum
On June 19, 2019, City Council approved a contract with Resource Exploration, LLC for Priority Based Budgeting software and consulting. The original contract was for development of a Priority Based Budgeting process that included developing a program inventory of city services, calculating the costs for each program, scoring each program against Council priorities, and prioritizing the programs and resources.
This resolution seeks approval for an amendment to the contract with Resource Exploration, LLC for additional services that exceed the scope of the original contract. Staff recommends amending the contract to include services for a Priority Based Budgeting (PBB) Insights workshop with staff ($9,000), an external Present PBB website that displays the results of the PBB project to the public ($10,000), an additional metrics module and a results-centric metrics workshop ($3,500), and professional services for a presentation to Council at the December workshop ($0).
Budget/Fiscal Impact: The total cost for these additional services with Resource Exploration, LLC in the amount of $22,500 is available in the FY21 General Fund Financial Services budget.
