Memorandum
Attached for your review is a resolution to authorize Amendment #1 to the General Services Agreement with Margolis Companies, Inc. (Margolis) in the amount of $160,775.00 for the planting of trees along City street rights-of-way.

ITB-4365, Street Tree Planting, was issued on BidNet for the purchase, delivery, and planting of 1,000 trees along City street rights-of-way in FY21. Four bids were received and opened on July 2, 2020. This ITB was subsequently cancelled due to scope-of-services changes and changes in "required to bid" species requirements.

There is still a need to plant trees this fall and Margolis, the City's FY20 planting contractor, is willing to match current pricing. ITB-4578, Street Tree Planting, was issued on BidNet for the purchase, delivery, and planting of 1,000 trees along City street rights-of-way. Three bids were received and opened on April 24, 2019. Margolis was the lowest responsible bidder. City staff has been satisfied with the work completed by Margolis and recommend amending this contract to extend their services through the end of the calendar year, December 31, 2020, under the same terms, conditions and pricing of the current contract.

The street trees to be planted as part of the project will be planted in areas identified in the FY21 Street Tree Planting Plan (attached).
