On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Mayor Christopher Taylor delivered to City Clerk Jacqueline Beaudry a written disapproval (veto) of Council Action R-20-305, Resolution to Order Election, Approve Charter Amendment of the Ann Arbor City Charter Sections to Establish Non-Partisan Nomination and Election for the Offices of Mayor and Council and Determine Ballot Language for this Amendment. R-20-305 was approved by City Council on Monday, August 10, 2020 and presented to Mayor Taylor as part of the Council record on August 11, pursuant to City Charter, Section 4.5.
The Mayor’s written disapproval is attached to this file and is hereby reported to City Council at the Regular Session of August 17, 2020 in accordance with City Charter, Section 4.5.
