Resolution to Purchase Property at 2857 Packard Road ($3,000,000) (8 Votes Required)

Whereas, The City wants to resolve the Peters Building Co. v. City of Ann Arbor Circuit Court Case by acquiring the site for park land;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve the purchase of 2857 Packard Road for $3,000,000, including $250,000 in a nonrefundable deposit, with a closing on or prior to December 31, 2019;
RESOLVED, That this purchase be funded with Greenbelt Millage funds; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator and City Attorney negotiate a purchase agreement along with a Consent Judgment that would dismiss all claims in the lawsuit for Council to review and approve at the earliest possible opportunity.
